Sri Sri Govardhan Puja
&
Srila Prabhupada Disappearance Day/Initiation
Join us to celebrate two upcoming ecstatic festivals at BLISS: Sri Sri Govardhan Puja on Saturday 2nd, and the disappearance day of Srila Prabhupada on Tuesday 5th, including the first initiation of our dear BLISS mataji Heidha!
Sri Sri Govardhan Puja is a celebration of the fantastic pastime wherein Sri Krishna, in His Earthly incarnation, lifts Sri Govardhan Hill in order to protect the inhabitants of Vrindavana from the wrath of Lord Indra, in the form of a tumultulous storm. Sri Sri Govardhan Puja is one of the most unique Hare Krishna festivals. We will celebrate the auspicious occasion with an evening of kirtan, the telling of this pastime, and an elaborate homemade vegetarian feast. Not to mention Sri Govardhan hill made out of sweets...
The festivities begin at 5pm. Scroll on to book.
November 5th marks the disappearance day of our beloved Spiritual Master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. We will also be holding an initiation ceremony for Heidha mataji, a wonderfuly impressive BLISS monk who has been serving joyfully in the BLISS temple, now ready to take the next step in her spiritual life. The ceremony will commence at 9am, with a traditional fire yajya (sacrifice) where the initiate makes their commitments to Sri Krishna, to Prabhupada, and to the temple. After the ceremony and kirtan, we will serve a beautiful feast in honour of Srila Prabhupada.
Join us for one, join us for both, be here and bask in these all-auspicious events! Scroll on to book.
