Mark your calendars for the two most important events in our Vaishnava calendar, plus an all-auspicious, invigorating and enlightening event: Krishna Janmashtami, Vyasa Puja, and the first and second initiations of two of the BLISS matajis!
Krishna Janmashtami marks the appearance of Sri Krishna in this world. We will celebrate the occasion with an evening of kirtan, discussion of Krishna's wonderful appearance pastimes, and an elaborate homemade vegetarian feast. The festivities begin at 5pm, with prasadam being served at 8. After, guests are welcome to stay until midnight for more reading, kirtan, and prasadam at 12am.
Krishna Janmashtami
The following day marks Vyasa Puja, the appearance day of our beloved Spiritual Master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. We will also be holding an initiation ceremony for two of the BLISS monks ready to take the next steps in their respective spiritual lives. The ceremony will commence at 10, with Vyasa Puja offerings expressed to His Divine Grace, the traditional fire yajya (sacrifice) where the devotees will make their commitments to Sri Krishna, to Prabhupada, and to the temple. After the ceremony and kirtan, we will serve a beautiful feast in honour of Srila Prabhupada.
Join us for one, join us for both, be here and bask in these all-auspicious events! Scroll on to book.
